DAGI's STORY
Like all good Kiwi ideas, DAGI started out on a farm, with a practical problem to solve.

Meet Ryan
Ryan is a large animal vet at Vet Centre Waimate, South Canterbury, New Zealand and the founder of DAGI.
A solution born from the ground up, designed to tackle one of the biggest challenges facing kiwi farmers : parasite management and in the worst case, Drench resistance.

Working against Parasites
Through his work alongside farmers, Ryan has seen firsthand the day-to-day struggles of managing parasites and the growing problem of drench resistance. Frustrated by the limitations of current methods and the lack of actionable insights, he set out to find a better way to support smarter on-farm decisions.

Vision to Reality
With a strong background in both veterinary science and agritech, particularly in leveraging data from on-farm wearables, Ryan brings a unique perspective to the problem. He knew there was a way to automate data collection and transform it into something truly useful — helping farmers take control, reduce resistance, and improve animal health outcomes.
DAGI is the result of that vision: a practical, data-driven tool to support better decisions and healthier farms

“At DAGI we want to help sheep farmers put industry best procedures into practice so they can improve livestock growth rates, decrease reliance on drenches, and ensure the future sustainability of their farm business for generations to come”
-Ryan, DAGI Founder
